LILLIAN VERNON: EXPANDING EXISTING WAREHOUSE SPACE WITH NO DOWNTIME          [view .PDF]

CHALLENGE

Lillian Vernon wanted to maximize the square footage available in their existing distribution center. This was needed before the start of the holiday shopping season, and without any downtime in existing areas.

SOLUTION

PeakLogix was able to coordinate building 85 column footers, installation of a new 24,000 square feet mezzanine, and pouring of the concrete deck, all while the facility remained in operation.

RESULTS

Additional space provided by the new mezzanine means more product lines can be accessed during the picking process, increasing efficiency for the operation. It also allows room for additional embroidering machines as Lillian Vernon’s sales continue to rise.

SPECS

• 24,000 square feet added to the facility while it remained in operation.

• 85 column footers supporting poured concrete deck.

• Project has increase capacity at facility by 15%.
