CHALLENGE
Phillips acquired a Volvo dealership in Hampton, VA and needed to maximize storage in the new-parts department. The facility it acquired was a renovated dealership so the existing floor plan limited the storage options. Philips also needed to make their most frequently used parts easily accessible.
SOLUTION
PeakLogix designed an efficient floor plan and then installed Lista Storage Wall and HS-width cabinets to store the auto parts. The layout included outer cabinets that provide access to the most requested parts and technician walkup areas. PeakLogix also installed Equipto shelving to store bulk parts in a separate area.
RESULTS
Philips now has sufficient and accessible storage for current parts as well as room to add 25 percent more inventory. The finished storage plan meets Volvo’s storage requirements for a dealership of that size.
