CHALLENGE
Rawles-Aden Building Products, a distributor of specialty building and remodeling products, found that its current storage situation made it difficult to select specific items, which increased staff time and the expense of damaged products. It was also hard to keep track of inventory.
SOLUTION
Based on Rawles-Aden’s needs, PeakLogix identified a storage solution that offered maximum efficiency and ease of access and installed the racking components without disrupting daily operations. PeakLogix installed three runs of cantilever rack and one run of selective rack.
RESULTS
After PeakLogix installed the rack systems, Rawles-Aden purchased enough products to test the new application and found it worked effectively. Rawles-Aden reduced the number of damaged products and decreased the time required to select products. Housekeeping and inventory accuracy have also dramatically improved as a result.
