U.S. FOODSERVICE: MEZZANINE & MODULAR OFFICE [view .PDF]
CHALLENGE
PeakLogix was tasked with finding an economical solution for a supervisory office that was far too small for the staff using it and had been in use for over 11 years in a 40-degree environment. The client also asked that the solution be designed to reduce the amount of unnecessary foot traffic through the office.
SOLUTION
PeakLogix proposed a larger office located atop a full height mezzanine. This allowed for ample work space for the supervisory staff, a reduction in foot traffic due to the office now being off of the main floor area and an increase in storage space under the new office.
RESULTS
The supervisory office was increased from 78 square feet to 296 square feet while actually gaining floor storage space by reclaiming where the old office once stood. The extra office space now allows the supervisory staff to have ample supply storage and room to have meetings. The employees are more productive and can work with fewer interruptions now that the foot traffic through the office has been significantly reduced.
