We facilitated a project between Jewelry Television and Schaefer to transform JTV’s from manual order picking to automation. The result is the ability to process 9 million pieces in a 12 month period.
The new automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) includes a processing conveyor and a warehouse control system. It also houses 16 double stacked SSI SCHAEFER Carousel System (SCS) carousels, 4 Goods-to-Person (GTP) stations, and one inbound conveyor. The four GTP stations allow agents to process work effciently and the new SSI conveyor system moves totes throughout the fulfillment center.
